If You’re Not Going To Pay Attention To Them?
(watch for the icon light up in her mirror as I pass)
And the best part? She didn’t even NEED to be in the left lane for another mile when the right lane ends.

But she turned on her signal. That means you’re supposed to get out of the way.

Just when you think you’ve made something idiot proof, they build a better idiot.

They need to sell a Blindspot Awareness Awareness package.

That seems to be what many people think.

Had a Camry and a F150 do this to E90M3 and I on the drive back from Boston. I was soooo mad. E90 said I may have continued to honk a little long but I could see that thing freaking out on the mirror and figured they deserved it.

My greatest fear is that someone’s going to read that and think you’re serious.

I don’t see the point of them anyways, unless you’re in something with TERRIBLE blind spots. If they don’t look at their mirrors in the first place, how are they going to see a light on it? And actually turning your to look beside you is completely out.

I hold the horn until they definitively move back into their lane. If they keep coming, the horn keeps blaring.

They’re SUPPOSED to also warn you if you turn on your signal with an audible beep or seat rumble (in some makes) if the sensor detects a car there and you try to merge into it.

I held it a little longer then after they were back in their lane... When you have your blindspot freaking out and you don’t pay attention I am reminding you that you are crap and you need to stop being crap.

Agreed. I should have noted that I hold it *at least* until they move back. :)

I think an electric shock would be more effective...

That’s just going to train people to stop using signals. “That beep is so annoying!”

That’s my whole theory on why BMW drivers don’t signal. Too difficult to figure out the stick.

Ehh, i had a rental altima while my car was in the shop recently and the one thing i kinda liked about the car was the blind spot monitors (okay i liked the modern stereo too if i’m being honest.)
Bear in mind, i drive a 350Z a car with atrocious blindspot visibility.

Equipment is only as good as the person using it.

Modern cars, aside from some portions of the windshield, are basically nothing but rolling blind spots.

How in the hell does someone miss a car on the drivers side anyways??? It makes sense on the passenger side because most newer vehicles do have GIGANTIC blind spots on that side that are only visible with perfectly adjusted mirrors. It really is troublesome driving rental cars for me since I am so used to infinite visibility in the Miata at all angles and my ‘06 STi which also has damn near no blind spots. Sure safety blah blah blah but my Subaru is definitely plenty damn safe even by current standards.
